Cash Cow

So its been yet another full month since my last entry here on Cash Cow because I have been too bloody busy lazy. I concentrated on doing some work to my BANS sites by pumping in some basic related content and then optimizing each and every page on my site by including Meta action. The BANS software allows you to easily enter META keywords, Titles and Description which helps with getting organic traffic. Mind you, one of my BANS site has over 150 pages so I sat there for a few days straight and META’d my ass off for a really long time……page by page. My 2nd site which I just finished yesterday had only 50 or so pages so that was a pleasure to do.

Funnily enough, within a week of noobie optimizing my Cheeky Woof site i started to notice some traffic……and even some consistent sales. “WOO HOO” I said !

Since the beginning of November, I have made about 26 sales on the above site. But here is the catch, due to the type of products that this Niche involves, all commissions have been under £1. They all add up I guess in the end but the fact that I think I have the hang of creating these sites successfully will pump me up to go on to make the next few BANS stores but this time target higher selling items to in turn get higher commissions.

Anyway here are my stats since the start of November.

Alot of Clicks and sales for not much cash I say. But as I said, I just have to transfer the same idea to a higher paying Niche and I will be in like flynn.

So its almost exactly one month since I purchased the BANS product. I guess 30 days into the program isn’t a good indication on how I am going with it. I originally set up 2 sites and I have done a little bit of backlinking and promo work here and there but nothing too oragnised. I made 5 sales in total over the two sites which amounted to about GB £18. One in particular was around £10 and the others were little sales. In Aussie dollars thats about $45 which is Ok I guess for the first month. I am hoping there will be an increase in month number 2 as the sites will be more established.

The way it works is that when you send a customer to eBay via your site, a cookie will be left in their computer for 7 days. Basically what that means is that if that person who you directed towards eBay bids and then wins an auction within 7 days, you as an affiliate will get around 50% of the fee’s involved in selling that item not the final sale amount of the item.

Check out the fees below. These are the amounts that sellers will pay at the end of the Auction. The amount they owe depends on how much they sell the item for. Basically, I as an affiliate will get around half of these fee’s if I can direct a customer to eBay via my site, and they then buy something within 7 days.

Another nice way of getting some money from eBay is getting new customers to sign up as an eBay member. Once again, if you direct a new customer to eBay and they then signup due to your efforts, eBay will reward you around US$25 each time that occurs. BUT this customer must bid at least once during the first 30 days for you to be eligible for this reward. Its a pretty good affiliate program due to the fact that eBay is so well known and trusted by many around the world. But like any site, you need traffic to make this happen.

Its coming up to almost a year since I started this whole Internet Money Making journey of mine and it has got me thinking. I have learned so much and I am amazed with myself.

Basic things that many others people take for granted like -

Domain registration, Uploading your new site site via FTP, Affiliate Marketing, SEO, Link building, Adsense, Adwords, CTR the list goes on and on…..

I had average computer knowledge last year when I first got into this but the learning curve has been steep. Everything I have taught myself was found for free on forums. One forum in particular is the Digital Point Forums.  I must give credit to probably the biggest and best Internet Marketers & Site Admin Forum on the whole of the internet ! There is so much free info and a heap of people willing to help fellow friends to get ahead.

Almost one year on and there have been some ups and downs. From the days where I was making 20 cents a week to the day I made over $100 bucks (i have gotten nowhere near that since) and back down to just a few dollars a day.

So why do I do it ? Well all the money I make through internet marketing gets funneled into a separate bank account. Money from Clickbank, CJ, eBay, adsense etc while not making me rich ads up over the weeks and provides me with extra cash. Over the weeks it just build and builds. This money has helped me to supplement my Investment Property rental cashflow. I have a few Properties which have a slightly negative cashflow but I use my Internet Marketing Dollars to even things out a little at the end of the month.

It works well.

So I thought i would try something new this week. Adsense is busting my balls a little as I am somewhere between $5 -$8 in income. I came across this program called Build a Niche Store (BANS), so I thought I would buy it and give it a go. Basically its a program that allows you to make websites easily and stream live eBay feeds direct to your site (Check out my test site here).

The good thing is that you can select a niche that you want to concentrate in. All I had to do was register with Commission Junction at cj.com then sign up as an eBay affiliate. So basically what I am trying to do is get signups for eBay and/or get people to bid on an item via my website. If I am successful then they will give me commissions. Sounds easy right ? Well yeah it does…..but I guess it still leaves me with the challenge of getting traffic to my new BANS site…but thats something Dr. SSEC can help me out with. mwahahah

Oh yeah one other thing, the BANS program allows you to put adsense ads on the site as well. Its like killing two birds with one stone….or something.

 I’m not doing this for you to post favorably on DP or anything like that – It’s a public forum and you can post whatever you feel but regardless of your thoughts about me I would still like you to achieve better rankings on your sites along with a good ROI like the majority of the clients.

 I understand your anguish about the poor results you have received and I would like to help rectify that.
I have some PR5-7 domains and if you like I can place inbound links to your sites.
Again, this can remain between you and me; I don’t expect and post in my favor about this.
Contrary what a few are saying at DP I have everyone’s interest in mind and would like to see the sites do well for you.

I apologise if any of my past actions or replies to your emails did not meet your expectations.

I am back and ready to go !

So its been a while….quite a few months in fact. I was in the UK for 2 months for our wedding and honeymoon. With limited access to a computer for that time (plus the wife wouldn’t have been impressed) my adsense earnings have fallen by the wayside.

One thing I did do while I was away was to take down Claycomm’s $48 dollar a year sites. They were a little old school MFA and I was worried I might get a warning from the Big G.

One my return to Sydney, Australia I have decided to concentrate on my blogs. I have created a whole bunch of them. Some are Auto-Post whilst the other half are updated manually by me. At this stage I have had mixed results but its part of the learning curve nevertheless. I am starting to close in the $10 mark once again in the last few days after about 2-3 weeks of hard grafting and hopefully I can start to see some personal all-time daily adsense records.

Its been a frustrating few months as I have lost momentum. When I got back from europe I was getting some $1-$2 days. Hopefully they are behind me now.

I just about creamed myself when I got this. Its about $5 a day which isnt much BUT it shows that I am on the right track. All I have to do is multiply my efforts by 10 and I will be pulling in $350 a week which is my target for the next 2 months.

By now most of my readers would have heard about the $48 AdSense Site which I like many others “bought into” over the last few months. I have many criticisms of this package and I will list them below.

I felt compelled to write about this on my blog because of the crap he is now saying in his defence. He seems to be changing his story and making out that many of his customers are lyers. I only invested just over US$200 for my sites but there were people out there who easily payed over $1000 to Neil for larger packages. I don’t mind losing money on a 50-50 chance deal at all.

The fact of the matter is how Neil is now trying to change the facts. Here is an excerpt from the DP forums.

“To be honest I don’t think any comments I make will have effect. this thread started on Mar 10th 2007, 8:36 pm - 10 weeks ago, (I didnt start delivering the very first orders until 2 weeks after I started + there was uploading time) so 7 weeks really.

If judgement has been passed after 7 weeks these sites cant make money then I’m not going to argue, but anybody thats been in business for a while knows that money doesnt fall from the sky overnight”

He really needs to do his math and also state the truth. In fact it is about 13 weeks since the $48 thread was started and he was making sales within the first few days. I got my sites delivered and uploaded by the 19th March, 2007. 9 days after start of thread. This makes my sites/domains just under 3 months old. I don’t know where he pulled the 7 weeks shenanigans line from. Probably from out of his ass.

Buyer Beware. Do not purchase from this man. He is a schemer and plays on the human greed trait.

Another week, another dollar…… My $48 dollar sites have hit rock bottom. I was right….last week was just a glitch in the matrix. I would seriously ask people who are considering making a purchase on these $48 sites to be very wary and know what they are doing.  42 Impressions ? Quite disturbing if you ask me.

But in happier news, my own AdSense sites are faring much better. I have reached approx 40 sites over a variety of niches. The stats below are over the past week.

-In the past week, only 15 of the 40 sites have recorded impressions (mainly because half of them are still getting indexed.

-Of the 15 that have recorded impressions, only 7 have recorded clicks. And the stats are below.

I am happy with the progress so far. I can expect things to improve from here. I will keep increasing the AdSense sites from here on. Based on averages (still early days) My sites will make a shit load more than $48. Its so easy…..anyone can do it and the costs compared to other people making it for you are minimal.
